Last night we took our nightly walk around the yard.Danica was playing with Fred and she decided to drink water just like Fred. It was really cute! She was soaked by the end.
This morning, we got the last couple of items hung in her room and also had some pudding. She was a MESS so I gave her a bath. We then went out to watch a movie and she was out within just a couple of minutes. So cute!!!! I love my little girl so much!

We got a LOT done last night. Got all the bark out and it looks awesome!!!! Nate is mowing the lawn right now. He is on the poo garden :) Nice and green from Fred. Lots done and everything is coming together.

Time is flying by! We have cleaned/accomplished about 80% of all the projects I started out to accomplish. It feels so good to cross them off and make new lists. This week...... go through Danica's cloths and organize old ones and box up. Also organizing ALL of the kitchen cubbards so they are easily accessable.

We have been weeding the garden and watching it grow. Not as impressive as the neighbors....but a very very good start for a first year....and for planting a little later than everybody else.

We also purchased bark for the flower beds. It looks amazing! We need to get a little more to finish the project and then I will post pictures.

I am heading to Nate's mom's house today to learn how to make the famous "Daisy Dress.". I want to make one for starters and for a second thought.... see how long it takes to make one and then decide if I want to start making/selling them and at what price.... depending on how long it takes. I think this will be a fun project and possibly a good way to earn a little extra cash. We will see! They are such a special looking dress and I could see it being a much wanted item to pass on to generation to generation....but who knows. :)

Planned thus far for the weekend.... finish the bark project. Weed the garden some more. mow the grass. Play some more. Plan next months menu and shop.... any suggestions? We need some more ideas. PLEASE!!!!!!

I am grateful to be able to stay at home for the time being. I hope it lasts...but time will only tell :) Right now... I am optimistic and grateful for a hard working husband.

This little girl is my life! She makes me smile every single day. Some of her recent funnies.....
*She loves to "tickle" people.
*She loves her "brother" and even calls him that :)
*She almost has all of her teeth in. We need to make an appointment with a local kids dentist and start that whole process.
*She is a "big girl" and is currently working toward being potty trained. We are not pushing it but are hopeful it will be wihtin the next couple of months. We just bought what we hope to be here final diapers.
*She loves her newly put up curtains. They have butterflies on them and all she does when she walks in her room is point at them and smile and say something I can't understand.
*She is getting really good at giving big bear hugs. Makes my heart melt.

On the 29th she will be 20 months old. Where has time gone? :)
I love my little family and am grateful for what the lord has blessed me with.

I am going to be a stay at home mommy beginning on July 1st!!!!!! So excited and scared all in one! Can't wait to play wtih Danica and really be able to watch her grow and develop at this stage in life.
Worried, scared, and excited pretty much sums it up!!!!!!!

Sunday activities....

We went to my mom's house today to play with the cousins. It was a lot of fun and we got to play a little. Ticket to Ride was awesome as ever. We really need to buy that game!!!
The kiddos keep growing.... weird :) Braedon is continuing to change each and every day. Shaelynn is funny!!! The things that come out of that girls mouth.... man. There has been "don't talka to me" and don't forget "freddy".... and many many more.
Danica didn't cry when she saw Matt too.... so we are improoving!
Now off to the grind again. Last week flew by.... so hopefully this week will too.
Don't know my month end schedule yet. :(

Do I not have the cutest kid too? :) We took this today before heading to Grandmas.

Alive and well....

Had a thought to look at this again. :)

We had a great Valentines Day and laid low. Went to Wrangler in IF since we didn't want to wait for over an hour at the regular restaurants. It was good though.

Danica has been a pill lately. She wasn't feeling well. Throwing up. Went to doc and everything fine. She is doing much better now.

Not much else... other than I am tired :)

Our "Second" child had surgery today.:(

Poor Fred! Our "second child" had surgery today because he ate his toy that he has. Needless to say he couldn't pass it and if he wouldn't have had surgery he wouldn't be here now. Nate just got home with him and he looks miserable. He has a about a 6 inch cut on his stomach and a bandage on his leg from the IV. Needless to say we will be throwing out a couple of his toys and getting new "Fred" friendly toys.

A little info on "Fred" for those that don't know. While pregnant I demanded that we call her Danica. Nate wanted Shelby. We discussed multiple times and I told Nate that if I went through hell, I would name her what I wanted to. My brother in law thought he was a genious and started calling her "fred" before getting here and right after she was born. It caught on and before I knew the whole family was calling that. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!! So for Nate's birthday in January he got a puppy. We went to Boise and picked Fred up when Danica was about 2 months old. Daddy was happy and mommy was happy. A little more info.... I hate inside dogs!!!! The rules were that he could get one that did not shed or slobber. So he found Fred. A boxer. :) He is growing on me and Danica has a little playmate now. She loves him and lays on him and pulls his hair, ears and jowels... and he could care less.

We will have to do a "family" photo soon to debut everything. Baby girl growing a ton... me with hair cut... Fred with stitches and daddy.... well daddy is boring and hasn't done anything :(

We are still alive and doing well! I was introduced to a thing called "facebook" and the rest is history :) I will try to be better and write on here every week.
Fast recap..... Danica is 8 months old today!!!! Where has the time gone? She is getting big and changing so quickly. Currently she is rolling around everywhere, sitting up tall and strong, eating lots of food, and is the love of our life!!!! I could not imagine it without her! The crazy pregnancy was definetely worth it!
So, I will post more on Sunday :) I promise....... :). Otherwise.....join facebook :) (MOM!!!! MICHELLE!)

Enjoy!!!! I really will do better. Nate has started a new rule at the house that I have to coplete a "chore" each night before I can even log onto Facebook. You know dishes, laundry, etc. BULLY!!! :)

Have a good couple of days. I have to work 12 hours on Saturday since it is month end....so I will be really enjoying Sunday and relaxing so I am ready for a new week.

Also, it is our 5 year anniversay on August 6th...... wow, that has gone by really fast! And yes, I still love my husband.... He had better remember it though :) I have already reminding him, so he should have no excuses.

Lastly, I am headed to Convention in Salt Lake in a couple of weeks...just after our anniversay...for an entire week basically..... So please make sure that Nate is staying sane and check in on him!!!

Road Trip.....

Well, most know that we went to Vegas to meet little Dylan...and don't forget to see Kate, Kramer, Mike and Karen. :) They blessed Dylan on Mother's Day...which is special for obvious reason...but also because it is kinda cool that the last grand baby....Danica....was blessed on Valentines Day. We are just a holiday blessing family :) Which Holiday is it going to be next :) and who? :) Time will only tell :).
Anyhow, back to Vegas. It was a blast. We decided to drive it again...which wasn't all that bad. We are getting kinda used to it. We were curious though with baby girl. She did awesome though. This was her second "big" road trip. Needless to say....she ended up out of her carseat for a lot of the time....instead of stopping every 5 seconds. (Don't turn me in to child protective services) :)
We went on a couple of adventures, spent some money at the mall, dipped our feet in the pool, helped pack up Mike and Karen's stuffs :( and just had a fun time with family.
They are leaving this week to Fort Worth, Texas where Mike was offered a job. He gradutated from UNLV during this whole escapade and it was really fun watching him walk the stage. So proud of the first "Sharp" graduate. CONGRATULATIONS MIKEY!!!!! We love you and will miss you a ton. We will start saving our pennies so we can come and see you at your new home.
Anyhow, I will post pictures and give more details later this week. I need to go to bed so I am ready to go back to work tomorrow :)

We figured out when we will be blessing Danica. It will be on Valentines Day!!!! Yeah!!!! There are too many babies being blessed the first week in Feb. so they asked if we could do it that next week. I am totally fine with that and it well be a good memory.

Church starts at 9:00am with sacrament being first.....sorry :) We will have lunch following. at our house.

Wow, I realized I hadn't blogged before Christmas or about Christmas or since Christmas or since the New Year. A little behind I would say. :) Everything has come and gone extremely fast. Where to start....

Before Christmas.....what happened.... Ryan came to town with the girls from Kansas.... Mike, Karen and Kate came from Vegas. Michelle and Steve came from Poccy....so what did that mean.... we were all home for the holidays. It was really nice and always it went by extremely fast. We had our traditional New Years Eve at Lisa's house this year. Enjoying our fudge and ice cream....YUM!!!! Wish I had some now :( Anyway.... it was fun being with all the aunts and cousins for the short evening. Everyone called it early since we had to get home to put kids to bed....so Santa would come :) Christmas morning we went out to mom and dads and opened gifts and had out traditional breakfast there. Eggs with Ham and sticky buns. Yum Yum again!
Santa spoiled me this year and got me a hefty gift certificate to Maurices. He must have known that I need new clothes....since I lost so much weight with the pregnancy :) Kinda fun knowing that I lost instead of gained. Now I get a cool new wardrope :) I will be quiet now. A lot of people are not happy with my pregnancy since the ending was so easy. :) I know I made up for it the first 8 months though :)
Santa's helper did not do as much for Nate though.... the Helper thought money was tight since there is a huge hospital bill on its way. :) He did get a little something though :) He got a wii racing game called "Nitro". I think he likes it though. He has been playing it during his spare time.
It was sad to see everyone go, but glad that everyone was able to be here. If I would have been smarter though....we would have blessed Danica so that everyone was here. :( As of right now....it looks like it will be February. We are actually going to go and show our face today and re-introduce ourselves again to our ward :). We will talk to the bishop about blessing her and get on the list for February. She will be just over 2 months old....so I think that will be good. I have the blessing dress all ready to go. I need to find some white tights and white shoes though. Mommy and daddy may need a new outfit also.....we'll see :)
Other news... Danica is sleeping really really good. She sleeps through the night and wakes up at about 5 or 6. Eats then goes back to sleep.
I promise I will really really try to post pictures this week. :) She has changed a lot and is getting bigger every day. Right now we catch he smiling randomly. It is kinda cute She also knows her daddy's voice extremely well and will move her head around until she finds him.
We had something really weird happen the other day in our neighborhood. We still don't know what happened or what the comotion was...so we are still really curious. I was in the living room and saw a couple of cop cars drive by. I went to the back room to see where they were going. They stopped at a vacant lot back behind our house. There were 2 or 3 other cop cars already there and a lot of people in the lot looking at something near the road. Then the mortuary car pulls up. Nate thinks that a homeless person died cause it was kinda cold the night before. Me.... always thinking the worst think someone dumped a body. :( Who knows though. I never did see anything on the news so we will probably never know.
Anyhow, I spent a lot of time cleaning this weekend to try and get the house back to normal. I am proud to annouce that we have our kitchen table back. We have our laundry room back. We can go to the bathroom without cringing and we can get through the hallway. to all the bedrooms :) (I know it sounds bad...it was!!!!)
Next on the list.... clean the bath tub to finalize the bathroom project. Clean the second bathroom and lastly vacuum!!! That's it!!!! Then I can rest for a couple days and start it all again. :)
Nate and I are going to be bad today and go shopping. We need some more diapers and some food. We should have done it yesterday...yes... but we didn't. Nate was outside cleaning the driveway and sidewalks and finishing a project for work and I was in the house cleaning... as mentioned above. We just did not have time even though we both completed a lot. :)

Another Dr. Visit....

We took Danica in for another visit to her doctor. She did really good again today. They had to pric her foot this time. She only screamed for a minute. I was proud of her. She is growing great and looking great.

Weight: 6lbs 12 oz.

She is a great eater and is going back and forth from breast to bottle and it doesn't seem to bother her. She has had quite a few blow outs the last couple of days, so she is going through clothes quickly. It is time to do our first batch of her laundry tomorrow. :)

Anyhow... I am getting extremely close to going back to work. :( I am dreading the day. Michelle is coming to stay the week with me and help out. I really really really appreciate it and can't wait to see her, Shaelynn and Trevor. It should be a fun week. :) and it will make it easier to go back to work. They may have to come have lunch with with me at least once that week :)

Busy Week

We have had a busy week this week. We went to see Danica's baby doc and get her first checkup. She did awesome and is healthy as can be. I must say that the doctor's office is adorable. The lobby was painted like Alice in Wonderland and had a table hanging upside down from the ceiling Then each of the rooms were decorated differently. If I were a kid...I wouldn't mind going to the doctor with that decor :)

Today Nate's niece Katie was baptized, so we had our first official "outing" or event with Danica. She did great and we kept her all bundled up. Katie looked very cute in her white baptism dress and was beaming ear to ear. I hope she remembers this day forever and writes down her feelings so she can refer to them freqently and share them wiht her kids someday. I wish I would have cause that would be so special to share and remember those feelings. I just remember my dress. I thought it was so cute and I remember wanting to wear it so bad. I believe Grandma Sharp made it....if I remember correctly. It was a light bluish gray and had ducks around the white collar. Anyhow...fun memories....of what I can remember.

My parents are leaving to head to Kansas this week to go and be with Ryan. He is getting married again to a really nice gal. I can't wait to meet her...hopefully soon :) Maybe they should start a blog so we can keep in better contact....hint hint :) It would be fun to see what the girls have been up to.

We are also getting closer to figuring out the babysitter situation when I go back to work. I had been stressed about it, but should have known that both of our families would be more than willing to help out :) Even though they have all helped a TON during this "crazy" pregnancy. We may just have to sign contracts expressing we won't have another kid for at least a couple of years. :)

Our Daughter is a TURKEY!!!!

Not really....but close to it :) We were out at my parents playing games and setting up her Christmas tree..when I realized that I had not felt her moving around at all. This worried me a lot and we decided to not risk anything and headed up to the hospital. Since nothing has gone right with this pregnancy...basically... we decided to go and check things out. They set me up on a fetal monitor and checked my blood preasure for about an hour. Everything was fine and she started moving around a little. We headed home and I immediatly started my nightly ritual and took a bath. She immediatley got all wiggly and was moving all around. I think she was dopped up on too much turkey and conked out for the entire day :) It was pretty scary and emotional and I am very very very thankful that everything is ok.
We see Dr. Hall on Tuesday so we will see what comes next....unless she still surprises us and comes tomorrow on Funny Papa's birthday. This is still what I think the plan is...so it will either be an extremely happy post tomorrow...or an extremely sad post tomorrow.... wait and see :) Maybe she is holding out for grandmas birthday on Monday :)

I had another appointment today and our little girl is prooving that it will be on her time :)I am barely more than last week. The Dr. was busy again, so we saw the same PA as last week.
I really really really think that she wants to make her big appearance on Saturday. :) Great Papa and Grandma are holding her as tight as can be :)
We will keep you posted. We are packing our hospital bag tonight....to make sure we are ready whenever the time comes.

No News is Good News.....

Well, our sweet little girl is being stubborn...or is it grandma and grandpa Pardonnet wanting to spend a little more time with her (in heavan)? She is still nice and cozy and is not ready to join us here. She is moving a ton lately and is getting ready to kick her way out. :)
I have an appointment tomorrow, so we will see if we are getting closer. Nate thinks the Dr. will ask us if we want induced tomororow.... just to make sure that he doesn't have to deliver on Thanksgiving. :) I am still shooting for Saturday or even Monday. Saturday is funny papa's birthday and Monday is mom's. So either day would be awesome! I really really really think it will be Saturday though. Megan had Brilee on grandma's b-day... so I think it is only appropriate that I have "Danica" :) on Saturday. That would be crazy though!!!! What would be the odds?
I told Nate that he will have to update the blog at the hospital...cause I know there are people axiously awaiting the big event.
Anyhow.... it is almost midnight....so I had better go to bed.
Hopefully the next post will be the big annoucement :)

Nate has been really annoyed that the ticker was wrong.....cause I had the wrong date input :) I would ask how many more days and he would "be wrong"....but in actuality he was right :). So it is now updated and accurate.

Getting Closer....

A lot has happened this past week, so I thought I would post a little update. My mom, sister and Aunt Lisa threw me a baby shower on Saturday. It was a lot of fun and a lot of family and friends showed up. Thank you to EVERYONE that played a part in it. It was fun seeing everyone and it was fun to open the gifts from everyone. It really is hard to believe that we are this close. I will take some pictures of "Danica's" loot and post them soon :)
A little titbit of info, we actually drank the same drink that we had at our wedding over 4 years ago. Mom still had quite a bit in her freezer, so that is what we decided to drink. It was a fun memory and and a new fun memory to say that we drank it for our first baby's arrival....soon. There is still a little more, so we may have to take some to the hospital so we can drink it when she actually arrives.
I had an appointment yesterday to begin checking if I am dialating. Low and behold... I am :) I am on weekly appointments now, so it will be interesting to see how much I change week to week.
Anyhow, I have been laying in the bath every night for the last little bit. It feels good and gets me completely "tired" and ready for bed.
Pictures soon :) She is moving around quite a bit right now, so she must be trying to tell mommy that it is time for a bath and bedtime. :)

Big Announcement....it's about time!!!!

It has been a little bit since I posted on this blog, so I thought I would update it. Most everyone knows, but just in case there are some blog hopper friends out there :) we have a big announcement!!!
We are expecting our first child next month. It is really weird to say that though. It has come really really fast. I have been in and out of the hospital,on home IV's, visiting the brain doctor, and enjoying purchasing new toys for our little girl.
We are still debating on a name, so make sure you leave a comment for which name you like. My sister, mom and aunt are throwing me a baby shower in a couple of weeks. The invites just got sent so if I forgot to add you to the list.... I really apologize. Show up anyway :) I will post the details soon.
Other news going on right now.... the Durango broke and we are in debate now on if we should bag it and get ANOTHER new car :( We just bought the suburban, so I am really hesitant until after the baby gets here to ensure that we don't have any more craziness and "major medical bills". We just got mine paid off just in time to get more. :) It will be worth it though.
Anyhow.... we'll see. I am not so keen on it, but Nate cares about his girls and wants us to be safe and comfy. We'll see. I would much rather wait until early next year and use the big fat tax return that we will be getting.
Anyhow... not much else has been going on. Work, sleep, eat....with a little shopping in-between. :)

I really really did think I was doing better and that the B12 shots were helping. Guess not.....I just called Nate and we were talking about dinner and decided that we would get pizza....since I have not cooked in....uh...let's see months. Anyway, I must have forgot the part about Nate getting it, so I ordered our usual from Papa Johns. Needless to say.... we now have two large pizzas. Yum Yum!!! We didn't even eat one, so we are going to be eating pizza for the next couple of days :) YUMMY!!! It made me laugh and hopefully will make you laugh to.

Vegas, Car Accidents, Chicago & Sadness!!!

VEGAS BABY!!! What happens in Vegas does NOT stay in Vegas...Well the trip to Vegas was really fun and as with every other trip...it went by way too fast. Hopefully I can remember all that happened.
Thursday was a blur. The flight was good. Nate and I were sitting a couple rows up from mom, dad, Lisa, Matt and Rachel. Rachel had neve flown before so we were excited to see how she did. We heard more laughing than anything from the back of the plane, so apparantly she did ok. Vegas has a new rental car center and Mike and Karen were going to pick Nate and I up there. I forgot to call them once we landed...so they were just waiting and wondering where we were. Then when I told them where to pick up up Mike acted like he was teasing me and didn't know where we were. I just kept telling him sure...whatever. Needless to say, they really did not know where the new center was. They had to ask for directions. They made it and we were very appreciative that they picked us up and let us stay at their house. Thanks Mike, Karen and Kate!!!!

The next day we prepared for Mike's birthday party. THE BIG 30!!! It was fun looking at old pictures and getting the house all decorated and all. Kate was cute and kept saying it was daddy's birthday. The night went well and I think Mike had a great time. Karen taught a really great recipe for Baja Enchiladas. They were scrumptious!
Time just really went by fast after this. We honestly just really hung out at the house and played games and Guitar Hero. (I ROCK!!!)

Here are just a ouuple of the funny highlights from the trip....some good, some bad.
1. Kate TV What is this you ask? Kate loves watching herself. She is ssssooo adorable. Every morning and sometimes during the day she would express that she wanted to watch Kate TV. In would pop old videos of when Kate was little. She was so cute and she even came up with the saying also.
2. Mom's New "Talent" We all found out that mom has a new talent. I think the picture says it all though. The people in the tram were looking at us all weird since we were laughing so hard.

3. Mom's New Son We were riding the tram between Luxor and Excaliber. A guy probably around my age was sitting next to mom and Kate. The guy was talking to someone on his phone. All of a sudden the guy leans over to Kate and says "Don't talk like me. It's bad." Apparantly he said crap or something like that. It made us laugh. Then the guy asks mom to tell the person on the other end of the phone to stop studying and come party. She takes the phone and her "motherly tone" instructs the person to come and play. She went on for a little bit and made everyone laugh. Not sure if the guy came to play, but she gave it her best. MAN....why wasn't she like that when it came to our homework? j/k mommy
4. Easter Egg Hunt??? The kids all wanted to play outside in the back yard. Well....this seems like an easy thing to accomidate...but Kramer owns the backyard and takes care of business there. Mike convinced the kids that they could earn a little money if they helped "clean up" back there.... and then they could play back there also. The kids all fell for it and within minutes they were doning rubber gloves and plastic bags. Andrew even expressed that it was "Better than an Easter Egg Hunt." How bout that.... try that on your kids :)They were all quickly board and decided they were done. I think they all got $2 or $3 for their work. It was hilarious to watch though.

5. Lisa, Lisa, Lisa Where to even begin. Here how bout this....My life flashed before my eyes. Yeah, thats good. The night before we were leaving Nate and I wanted to finish up our gambling itch that we had. Mom, dad and Lisa picked us up and we headed to Circus Circus (where they stayed). We had our fun and we headed back to the house. Lisa was driving and seemed extremely normal when we left. After a couple minutes of driving though....not so much. She missed a stop light and when she realized it and stopped, we were it the middle of the iintersection. Luckily there were not any cars. She made her right turn and continued driving. The she started tailing people and really getting on their butts. Mom was like slow down Lisa. Then she was driving in and out of the lines. All along the way, we were all getting extremely nervous and really wondering what was wrong. Mom asked if she had a headache and if she was feeling ok. Lisa of course responded that she was fine. The funny thing is that she had a diet coke and she just kept picking it up and drinking it really weirdly. We then joked that maybe someone slipped something into her coke. She started slurring her speech. By now I was white as a ghost in the back seat wanting mom to force her to pull over. We were close to the house, so she kept going. She got to the u-turn that we have to do to get to their house and she totally hit the curb and we thought she broke the hub cap. Now we are in the neighborhood and she is barely missing parked cars and such. Mom at this point had her hands on the wheel and was helping and telling her when to brake and such. It was extremely scary. Once we got in the house we really started grilling her and trying to honestly find out what was wrong. She finally admitted that she took an Ambien before leaving the hotel. WE LOVE YOU LISA!!!!

6. Gambling I had been bugging dad the entire time to come and gamble a little with us. If you don't know my dad we have to force him, buy once he does it he has fun. He particularily loves to play I love Jeanie game. He likes it because it says "yes, master". Ha ha. Funny guy. Anyway, I told him that I had scoped them out and found the perfect one. So he decided to come. I led him to the machine, sat him down, mom gave him his $20 and he started playing. I decided to play a machine right behind him. I turned around like a minute later and he had gotten to the bonus round. I had Nate watch my machine and I ran over and told him good job and expressed I told you this was the right one. I went back to my machine. Then maybe a minute more, mom, dad and Lisa come to my machine with grins stretching ear to ear. Dad showed me his ticket and he had won $225. Mom expressed that he cashed it out and gave her back her $20.... and a $5 tip... and pushed the rest into his pockets extremely quickly. He was done and went up to the room for the rest of the night. I am still waiting for my share of the winnings though since I was the one that convinced him to play and for directing him to the winning machine.... guess I will keep waiting :(

I think that pretty much sums up Vegas. It was really fun! The weather was great and felt so good compared to our snow in Idaho. Thanks again for a fun time Mike and Karen. We hope to see you in June for Matt's graduation!

Car Accident
Nate was in a car accident last week. He was coming out of McDonalds on Broadway and the guy in front of him who had turned onto Broadway.... decided to back up...on top of Nate! The guys kid had spilled some food and so he was trying to get out of traffic and did not see Nate. This is the end result. The big hole is from the guys Ford F150 being on top of Nate's car. The gapping hole is from his hitch. Nice huh....so we are now dealing with that. The car will most likely be considered totalled since it will be more to fix it than what the car is worth. Who knows what will happen.

Chicago....Here we come!!!
We have decided to fly to Chicago and then drive back with Chris and Maryanne. Nate's parents will fly both ways. We booked out tickets last night becuase they are extremely low priced. It is costing us the same as it would for getting the 2 nights worth of hotel rooms driving out there....so it will work out a lot better and give us more time in Chicago. We are looking at tickets to go watch a baseball game and who knows what else....it will be fun and I will finally get to meet Chris's parents. Chris and Maryanne will be moving to Portland, OR so it will be nice to have them closer and give a new place to visit in the future.

Sadness
We went to one of my favorite places to eat on Friday night.... BAJIO'S. Love this place and it has proved to be a cheap date night cause you can get the movie tickets and dinner for under $30.00. Anyway, we went and we noticed that the menu had changed. Ok....whatever... looked nice. Well then they started making it and they changed what was included in our usuals. I always get the Salad. Needless to say, the food was not good. The meat was gross and the entire thing tasted different. I am not sure if this was a fluke or if it is for real. All I know is that I am sad.... We will have to try Cafe Rio when it opens soon and it may become our new favorite.

Shaelynn's Blessing

I know this is a little late...but it is the thought that counts. Shaelynn was blessed on March 1st. She was so cute and she did so good. She did not cry at all. Steve did a very nice blessing. He talked about the trials she has gone through and about the trials she still has to go through. He talked about how her brothers would protect and love her and set an example to her. The spirit was strong that day and it must have just been one of those days also. My eyes would not stop leaking the whole entire time. There was a really old lady that bore her testimony and she reminded me of Grandpa. She said that she was so lonely and wanted to be with her husband. I am so greatful that grandpa is with grandma and they are happy. I am still sad and I still cry out of the blue thinking about him, I know he is in a better place.

We had fun afterward having lunch and buying Lysol :) We all left pretty early, but we all had a good time.

Shaelynn is growning so fast. She is being a big girl and taking her medicine good. It is really crazy to think that she could have the surgery in 3 months though.

Long Time....No Post :(

Has it seriously been a month already...SERIOUSLY!!! I know I keep saying this, but time is passing by so quickly. I wish I could just breathe and enjoy a day before 30 days pass by. Oh well...what can you do?

The past month we accomplished the following:
1. Nate quite his job....FINALLY!!!! He is now working with his
brother which is working out quite well. He seems to enjoy it a lot
more and good ole Tops Knives.
2. We did out taxes. We were anxious and nervous about doing them with the
new house. It went well and we are paying off bills with what we are
getting back.
3. We decided we are going to Chicago in June to attend MaryAnne's
graduation (Nate's sister) from med school. This time we hope it will
be a fun, laid back trip so we can actually enjoy Chicago.
4. Nate started school again. He is studying a lot....so it had better pay
off.
5. We made our 12th house payment last month. EXCITING!!!! We really
can't believe we have been here for that long.
6. My job responsibilities at work have changed almost completely.
It is kinda scary and exciting at the same time...as with any
changes. I am just thankful that I have a job, because I know
a lot of people don't right now.

And that about sums it up. Pretty boring I know. Although, there is one more thing to mention....no, we are not pregnant yet :(... Valentine's Day! Nate is just barely getting out of the dog house. Long story short...he ended up working longer than expected and "lost track of time" and didn's call me until 8:30pm and then proceeded to not show up until about 10:30 at night. I was NOT a happy camper. He did bring flowers home, but at that point I was too pissed to even care. Hopefully he will plan something tonight and try to make up for it. Just as an FYI to everyone....and a reminder to my husband that will be reading this also... I would NOT have been upset if it would have been communicated and a simple "I'm Sorry" was spoken. :)

Lastly, I was supposed to go to Michelle's last night and stay the night. I got off work at 7:30 and started on my merry way....and then my check gages light came on. I looked down and saw that my heat sensor was as far in the red as it could possibly go. I called Nate and he told me to check the coolant. I was luckily just barely off the ramp and so I turned at the first "emergency" turn off in the middle and went to Dad's Truck stop. Low and behold....it was bone dry. So I added a whole huge bottle of coolant and tested the engine. Still nothing. Hotter than hot. So I called Nate back and he met me there. He proceeded to open a different cap than I had filled. I asked him what that was and he said "the coolant". I responded "that's not where I put it. I put it here (pointing to a hole that said COOLANT). He then scared me to death and told me that was the windshield wiper fluid....then quickly realized it wasn't. Needless to say I did put it in the wrong place. ssssooo...

WORD TO ALL WOMEN.... if it says "COOLANT ONLY" that is really NOT the place you have to put it. I think a MAN thought that one up. :)

So, sorry Shell for not coming. Please don't be too mad at me. I know you were excited and I was too. We will have to pick a weekend in March that I will come and stay and we can have a girls night out.

Time Flies...when you aren't having fun!

The past couple of weeks have been a huge blur. The majority of it has been good, but the past week has not been so good. Work has been crazy busy and I have been working some odd hours. I cannot believe that we are already on the downward slope of January. Time is flying by way too fast. I feel like I blink and it has been a week alrady. Sorry this one will be long....but I am trying to use this as a journal, so I don't want to forget anything from these past couple of weeks.

1. New Years was fun. I had to work until about 6, but raced home to get ready for a small party we threw. We had our neighbors, Destry and Crystal, come over to play Wii and other games to ring in the new year. We had pizza and other yummy snacks. We introduced them to Ravin Rabbits and Wii Fit which was fun. We then played what I thought was a really fun game...\
I thought it was hilarious!!! We ended the night with some sparkling cider and stayed up playing more games until about 3am.

2. Shaelynn is home and is doing much better. She is on two medications and Michelle and Steve have to watch her closely, but she is home! She turned a month old on the 6th and is continuing to grow big and strong. Check out her first CTR ring!

On a side note, one of Michelle's roommates from college was basically going into Primary Children's as we were coming out. She had a baby boy a couple weeks after Michelle and it appears that he has the same problem, but worse than Shaelynn. We are hoping that everything goes well with their family as well.
We feel so blessed that Shaelynn's health issues are small considering all the other sick babies that are there.

3. Mom, dad and Lisa went to Vegas to be with Mike, Karen and Kate. While there, mom and Lisa were determined to potty train Kate. It worked! It was so fun to get phone calls from Kate expressing "She did it!" She was so excited. Good job mom and Lisa!!! I know who to call when we are at that point. Here are a couple of pictures I stole from Karen's blog.

4. Nate had a very low key birthday. We just went out to Texas Roadhouse. I got him Get Smart and Eagle Eye since he likes both of those movies. Oh yeah....we had birthday cake too when we got home.

5. Last weekend I thought it would be a nice gesture to take Andrew and Trevor and have them stay the night with us. It would give Michelle her first true weekend to try and catch up on some rest. So, we drove down to Poccy and picked the boys up on Friday night. They really were very good for us and we had a fun time. I must say I was really tired after and didn't fully realize what it takes. By 9:00 Nate and I were ready for bed, unlike our midnight routine. Saturday, I took the boys to Blast Off! and then we took them food shopping. They helped tell me "what they needed". It was really fun though. Sunday we woke up early and make a massive breakfast. We then headed to church. Trevor was scared and didn't want to go to primary, so he hung with Nate and I the whole time. Andrew did really well and even got a CTR ring from his class. Then we invitied mom, dad, Matt and Lisa over to the house for dinner. We played a little Wii and then all headed to Poccy to take the boys back.

Now the other side to the story is that Nate had a cold this entire time....well, apparantly it spread. I started showing signs on about Tuesday and have felt crappy since. Needless to say, I got a call from Michelle yesterday....calling from mom's. I asked why she was there and she responded that he two sweet boys were sick....with a massive COLD. oooppppssss!!! I have a feeling that that will be the last time for a while that the boys come and stay with us. Not becuase we don't want them, but because Michelle probably won't let them come. So, Michelle and Shaelynn are staying with grandma until Monday. Hopefully the boys will be in the clear by then.

6. I slept ALL day yesterday. As soon as I woke up, I would fall back asleep within 10 minutes. Megan and the kids came and said hi since they were in IF. They didn't stay long since I was sick, but it was good to see them all and Lisa.

7. Mom called last night and said that Josh Jenkins had been killed earlier yesterday. He was snowmobiling and got caught in an avalanche. He has been home from his mission for only about a month. It is really crazy. I used to babysit him. I feel horrible for Kurt and Launa and our prayers will be with them during this horrible time. What is worst is that Air Idaho flew his body and they were calling mom to ask a quesiton. She asked who it was and found out it was Josh. Launa didn't know yet, so mom asked if she could go tell her. So, mom had to go and tell her friend that her son was killed.

8. Nate started school last week. It is going really well and it seems like he has some good teachers this time. They are willing to help out and answer quesitons any time. Nate has been studying a ton already so I am really proud of him. Keep it up....only 15 more weeks to go.

9. I didn't mention this in December because of everything else going on....but anyway. Nate's boss moved him down to 3 days a week instead of 5. We were extremely anxious about this wondering if we really could pay all our bills without that money. He filed for unemployement and he got a couple small payments that helped. Now will school, Nate actually had to ask to go down to 2 days a week. So, I really think it was a blessing in disquise becuase we were not positive that we could do it at that amount of hours, but we can and it is helping him to be able to study more.

10. Along with the previous item, we were worried about how we were going to pay for his schooling this sememster. He was not eligible for a student loan....so we were going to pull it out of thin air...somehow. Anyway, Nate double checked if he was eligible and found that he actually DID get it. So, again, a blessing in disquise... we were able to pay for this sememster and pay off two other loans that we had. Now we only have his credit card with a very very small balance and Les Schwab...which we hope to have paid off with our tax money. My student loan is totally paid off and my credit card is paid off. It feels really good and we were even able to put some in savings.

11. Taxes.... we are really anxious to see what happens here. We have heard that having the house will really help and that we should get almost all of the interest back. We will see....we are just waiting for Nate to get his stuff and then we can get moving on it.

I hope everyone has a good couple of weeks. We don't have any plans for the coming weeks. Yet again...boring!!!

She is gorgeous! She defiently looks like she is a part of the family and fits right in with her brothers. She has really big feet and LONG toes. Andrew and Trevor are excited and have already given her presents. They both will be great big brothers and great protectors of their sister. Michelle is doing good and said that this was her fastest pregnancy. She came exactly on her due date...not Grandpa's birthday so we know that he and grandma were trying to keep her with them as long as possible. We are just so greatful that she is here and that everything went well.

Oh Chrstmas Tree!Oh Christmas Tree
Christmas is almost here! I love seeing the lights and putting up the tree. I bought some purple ribbon that matches PERFECT with the bulbs we alrady have for the tree and some silver twirlies yesterday. It turned out really really cute. I still am looking for a tree skirt that matches....no luck so far :( Here are just a couple of the decorations that I put out yesterday. I still have quite a bit to put up. It is full having a FULL house to actually decorate. I don't have to cram all of the decorations into just the living room. As for Christmas....it has come way way too fast. We haven't even started buying presents. We do this every year and it always comes together though. This year is defintely going to be scaled down though....due to the house payment we have now. It definelty is worth it, but is making us be wiser with every dollar. I hope everyone has a great holiday! I wanted to send out Christmas cards this year...but it is too late now. Thanksgiving Time!!!
We had the whole fam damily here for Thanksgiving...so it was really really nice. Ryan was able to come from Kansas. He didn't have the girls with him, but we are glad that he was at least able to come. The girls are in Germany right now with Ella and supposedly will be there for quite a few months. Mike and Karen flew in from Vegas. I picked them up and shuttled them right to grandpa's viewing. Kate has grown so much and it was a blast to be with them for the entire week. She was so cute going around asking "Where are my cousins?". All of them played so well together the entire time. Kate took a while to remember who we were, but within a couple of days she would come to us and play. She even went shopping with Lisa and I without mom or dad in her presence. :) We taught her how to say "shop till we drop." Michelle and Steve drove up from Pocatello and stayed for quite a few nights. Shell looked miserable and ready to done with the pregnancy. She even let me play with her belly....which she hates. I made 6 batches of sour cream potatoes and yep....we eventually ate them all. We had a ton of food and I am now officially sick of turkey for a while. Everything was perfect and we defiently ate too much the entire week. Lisa made her awesome huckleberry pie and pumpkin pie. They were both extremely delish! The holiday came and went too fast, but it was great being with family. We played lots of games and even made it through a game of Risk without fighting :) Here are a couple of pictures.

Mom's Birthday!!! 21 Again!!!
Happy Birthday Mommy! Another year has come and gone. We decided to celebrate her birthday a couple days early...since people would be leaving before then. We all surprised her and took her to her favorite restaurant...Red Lobster! We had it all planned out and waited for her to get home from work. Then we loaded up and headed to Pocatello where Michelle and Steve were waiting for us. We had a very nice dinner and then headed to Michelle's for cake and ice cream. I didn't get a picture of her famous cake....but it was a huge flower made out of individual cupcakes. It was very bright and cute. She even make German Chocolate ones for the center. Mom loves these! And to top it off there was Praline ice cream which is also a favorite. Happy 21st Birthday Mom!!!

TRISTAN GLEN SOMMERS has arrived!!!
December 4th 7lb 7oz Congratulation Travis and Bekah. We miss you a ton and hope to be able to come to the blessing when you have it. Hopefully we will see pictures soon though :)I am sure he is adorable though...just like Hunter. You guys make cute kids.

Nate and I went and saw this on Friday night. He liked it... I didn't think it was that good. It didn't seem like it had as much action as the rest of the 007 series. Oh well.... I am not a movie critic. Next on the list.... Transporter 3!!!! _____________________________________________________________
Grandpa's Funeral
The funeral was beautiful and went very well. Eveyone that had a part did amazing. Michelle did fantastic with the life scetch and received numerous coments. It was really funny and informative. All of the grandkids and great grandkids sang a medly of songs which turned out really well also. I cried the entire time, but I guess that is ok. I did the same thing for grandma's. Megan and Nancy sang beautiful during their peice... as usual. The flowers turned out beautiful also. The grandkids purchased the heart shaped one for him. It is still really really wierd and just feels like he is at home with Lisa. The program at the gravesite was amazing and I know I will never forget it. The military did an amazing job. They did the gun salute and shot the riffles. They then presented an American flag to Lisa. Right before it started they asked Ryan if he wanted to be the one to physically give it to her...so of course he said yes. Luckily I got the whole thing on tape so we can have it as a memory forever. We love and miss him dearly. Now it is up to us to live our lives worthly to live with him again and to leave an amazing legacy just like he did. We love you grandpa!!!! Here are quite a few photos from the funeral....so sorry. I decided to do it this way so that everyone that wants can save the photos for themselves.

How Time Flies!

I thought I would break with tradition and post the monthly update a little early. A lot has happened in these past couple of weeks. I took lots of pictures along the way, so enjoy those.

1. BYU Football game. It was....not sure. we didn't make it to Utah. Nate and I were really excited and got all packed and left IF. We got to about Shelley and realized that the pre-game show was already on. Apparently I had not heard the starting time correctly. So we turned back around and headed home. I guess we weren't supposed to go after all. :(

2. My husband is a mechanic genius! He had been working on Matt's car for just over 2 weeks trying to fix it. He would fix one thing and then found that there were more issues. Then there was no power and he had to figure that out. After it was all said and done, the car came alive and is working great! Matt was ecstatic to have his baby back!

3. Trevor had a birthday!!!! We all packed into Lisa's car and headed down to Pocatello on Sunday. We had a nice dinner and had fun with everyone. Trevor's cake turned out awesome! Michelle....you are the queen of all cake makers!!! I made 3 batches of Sour Cream Potatoes...knowing that there would be extras. Michelle loves the things and she is 8 months pregnant.... so I didn't want to mess with her.

4. We had a Wii party with some of Nate's family. Heather and Rob and Derek and Brooke came over for a little fun. It was a hit and it was some fun friendly competition.

5. Halloween was fun at work. This year we did "Peter Pan". It turned out pretty good. We didn't win, but we had a lot of fun putting it together. We kinda did a combination of Hook and Peter Pan, so I decided to be the Old Wendy in Hook. I wore a grey wig and pajamas. It was very relaxing!

6. Month End was crazy and I had to work the Midnight shift. I was sad because I wanted to pass out treats at our new house. Nate handled that job and said it was fun. He even said some kid walked right into our house without knocking. I looked ahead and I am scheduled to work on New Years Eve also. I am going to switch that though :) I am not working both of the Holidays. Derek and Emma came and visited Nate on Halloween. They were Curious George and The Man in the Yellow Hat. They looked really cute.

7. Pumpkin Carving. Nate and I squose this in the night before Halloween. We did a quick job, but they both turned out really good. I even made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip bread with some of the pumpkin. It was yummy!

8. Thanksgiving will not come fast enough! I only have 9 more days to work and then I have 6 working days off! Yeah!!! We also found out that Ryan is coming, so that means we will have the entire family here..... minus his daughter Mia.

9. Keep Ryan in your prayers. He is going through a lot right now and needs our thoughts and prayers. Ella has expressed she is moving back to Germany and she is taking Mia and Sarah and she is not coming back. She has now changed her phone # and Ryan has no way of contacting her. It is really scary!

10. Life can change in an instant! A dear friend at work found out that she has cancer. She is going in for surgery on Monday to find out the seriousness and to determine if she has to have more surgery. It is really scary and I hope and pray that everything comes out ok for her.

11. Election Time. What an amazing time! It took 2 1/2 hours to vote this year. Our precinct was set up RETARDED!!!! I gave Lisa my feedback. It was really cool to know that you were a part of making history....too bad it was the history we wanted to make :( I know that there are some readers reading this that were for Obama....but I was not. The next couple of years will be very very interesting. I have been thinking about this a lot since the election and I have heard quite a few conversations concerning the matter. Here are just a couple tidbits:
a) double or triple your food storage immediately!!!
b) have an emergency fund set up with at least $1000.00
c) Obama is pro abortion. I just did not know the extent of this.
Apparently he is pro abortion all the way to 3 days AFTER the baby
is born. I am sorry... no matter how you look at this... it is
murder!!!! It is a living, breathing, being.
d) brace yourself for attacks just like 9/11 here in the US
e) Buy a gun now if you want one.... you may not be able to soon

12. Trevor and Andrew took some pictures for me on my camera. They did did pretty good, so enjoy those.

Another Month Down!

I just have to say one thing first... I beat you Steve and Michelle!!! You harrass me, yet you don't update YOUR blog! Well don't worry, I will set the example. :)

The past month has gone by incredibly fast. I will do a quick and to the point update. Lots of pictures too...so beware. Enjoy!

1. Grass is growing really good! (we may have to mow it before we turn off the sprinklers.
2. It snowed.... ALREADY!!! It was really fun to see for the brief moment that it lasted. I had a good couple of inches on the Durango.
3. I spent a couple days with Michelle and her cute family. They kept me very intertained and we had a great time. We played a lot and they pretended that I was dad (tackling and wrestling). Michelle, mom, Lisa and I attended her Super Saturday that she was basically in charge of. It was really fun and I walked away with some cute items.

4. Steve let me steal Michelle the night of Super Saturday. I took her to the Mystique Theatre in Pocatello to watch Joseph and the amazing coat. It was really funny. I even saw some friends from High School that are in the play. (Kacey and Ross Bronson). Michelle LOVED the food ;) We had salad(with the dirt still on it). Then we got 4 huge shrimp (they were donated to they guys). Then the main course. We went safe and had the pasta. It was pretty good. Then at intermission they brought us some yummy cheesecake. We had a great time and again thanks to Steve for watching the kids ALL DAY!!!! Much appreciated.
5. Lagoon was fun... except for the part where I got sick. :) We hit the major rollar costers first, and I had forgot to take Dramamine in time, so needless to say after only a couple I was basically out for the count. It was still fun though. Wicked was truely WICKED!!! It was fun and I would have done it again even if I spewed all over. Thanks to Meg and JJ for letting us crash at their house. The basement looks great finished and we had fun playing Mario cart.
6. Going to Lagoon, we were heading up the Malad pass and we got a check engine line thrown at us. Nate said we lost a cylinder... which is common for the Durango. So we continued to drive and made it there fine. We opted to stop in Brigham city and visit Bethany and Luke and change out the spark plugs and such. It works great now! We will just have to do it agian in about six months. :( Thanks for letting us use your tools Luke!
7. Nate went to his FINAL appointment about his hand. He got the all clear and only has to wear the splint when it begins to hurt. We should start seeing those bills soon, so that should be fun. I am just very thankful that we did not have to go to a specialists.
8. Sunday dinner with Derek, Brooke and Emma. We had a great time with this tonight. Emma still continues to be the cutest thing. We played a little Wii and I think we now have Derek addicted. We will have to have a monthly Wii party or something.
9. Nate is looking for a new job...he is trying to get on with the Site...so wish us a luck.

10. We can't wait to see Mike, Karen and Kate at Thanksgiving. We miss them so much. I took that full week off to spend as much time wiht them as possible. Family time is the best time. :)
11. Nate's school is going ok. He is passing, so we are ok so far. He has more tests coming up, so he has to get cracking for those.
12. Our bushes are turning a pretty purple. I just hope they make it through the winter. If not, they are under warranty this first year. :)

Updates, Updates and more Updates

I will make this as short and sweet as possible. Yet again a lot has happened in the past couple of weeks. I will probably forget a ton, but this will be a good start.

Nate started school as is doing ok. He is having fun trying to takes notes with his hand. Right now the doctor has him in a splint, but we have to go back tomorrow to find out if we have to go and see an ortho doctor. I hope we don't!!!! He has been working it ton these past couple weeks, so it could be iffy. I will keep you updated. Overall it looks pretty good and he says it feels pretty good.

FAIR TIME

Nate and I went to the Fair at the first of the month. It was fun as usual. We love just watching people and walking around to all the boothes. This year we "reserved" our tickets for the Demo Derby to make sure that we got in. Nate has got me hooked on this. There is just something about red necks ramming each other and watching the cars fall apart. Mom called me at the last second and asked if her and dad could come with us (yes I had invited them long before). We did not have more Demo Derby tickets, so they came in hopes of getting some. Needless to say they were sold out and mom and dad wondered outside while Nate and I watched. Mom kept calling asking if it was done yet. We finally left just after the women drove the cars. Next year we will have to get tickets for them ahead of time. I felt really bad, but I think they still had fun.

ANNIVERSAY and BIRTHDAY

It was mom and dad's 32nd wedding anniversary on September 11th. Congratulations!!!

The next day was dad's birthday so we planned a little get together. Michelle and her family came to grandma and grandpas to surprise him. We ended up going to The Crossing for some yummy burgers. Then we headed to mom and dads for some home made cake.

While we were at the fair dad saw a "spaghetti and meatball" cake done by one of the 4H kids. He thought it was the greatest, so I did my best to attempt it. It must have been pretty good cause he thought Michelle made it. It was a pretty fun night and I think dad had a good time.

TUPPERWARE PARTY

The tupperware party went really well. After it was all said and done, I made out like a bandit. I got about $200-$250 of free for about $25.00. It was well worth the time and effort. Needless to say I have enough Tupperware to last quite a while. :)

MORE HOUSE ISSUES

I took the last couple of days off from work to just relax and rest. I feel so tired and exhausted since Convention. I don't think I fully caught up from that and I have just been go go go. Needless to say I was doing the dishes yesterday morning and I turned on the disposal and noticed that it was shaking. I stopped and looked closer and found that the sink had come unglued from the granite countertop. It was small at first, but within a couple of hours the sink was hanging on by a thread. I put a canning pot underneath the sink to try and keep it held up. We called the construction company and within a couple of hours they were there to fix it. They were extremely nice and did it quickly......but they were not able to set the sink back up. They could only fix the sink. So now we called the construction company back and asked when they were sending the plummer to fix the sink. I was NOT going all weekend without a sink. Needless to say a couple hours more....the guy showed up and fixed the sink totally. Keep in mind for the next post that this was all happening when we were throwing a party. It looks good now and the guy swears that we can stand in the sink and it will not fall.

WE HAVE GRASS!!!

Let me start by just saying THANK YOU to all those that helped lay sod last night. It went so fast! I honestly thought it would take us about 4 hours. No way...not with our incredible crew....we did it all in 2 hours!!! That is a record in my book. we started at 5 and ended just before 7. Mom did great at burning....I mean cooking the hamburgers (love you mom). The grill was too "manly" for her. We had a ton of Nate's family and friends to help. Dad and also a couple people from the ward came, so again thank you to everyone. It looks fabulous. Nate and I have a couple border areas that we have to finish up, but that will not take long. It has been pouring rain all day, so we have not been able to do that yet. Maybe later today. It feels so good to have grass!!! Dirt is just not fun to look at :(

Well, I will first let the pictures explain the situation.

Last Monday, Nate got a little mad at work and decided to punch a wall. Yeah.... smart! The positive is that he did not hit his boss's wife. She has been breathing down everyone's neck the past couple weeks and he said he was sick of it.

After a couple visits to Urgent Care, we found that he broke a bone in his hand and they think he may have broken a second one. Right now they are reviewing it for the second time and will decide if he has to be in a cast. We'll keep you updated.

Nate has had a LOT of fun with it. It happened the day he started school again, so he has had fun trying to write...since he did it to his writing hand.

I doubt that he will be hitting a wall or anything else anytime soon. :)

This was the phrase asked a million times in the last 2 days. Lisa asked us on Thursday if we wanted apples. So, what did we say enthusiastically...."YES!!!!!". After 3 hours of picking apples I was already done. Then the real fun began. I will spare you the details, but basically 2 days later this is what we got. YEAH!!! Apple sauce and apple pie filling. Yummy!!! By the time Michelle, Lisa and I split everything we had done about 80 quarts of Pie filling. 60 quarts of applesauce and about 40 pints of applesauce. I think....somewhere around there. It was hard work, but it was fun to see what we accomplished. Trevor was amazed that we were making applesauce and he kept telling us that we needed more. He loves the stuff. He thought it was cool watching us make it.

Other not so fun events this weekend.... Grandpa gave us a scare on Friday night. He had a small heart attack. He is doing really well right now and was able to come home this morning. He looked way tired tonight so we all said our goodbyes so he could get to bed. The doctor said that surgery is not a possibility becuase of the location of the blockages, so they are treating it with medicine. I am very grateful that grandpa is doing alright. I really don't know what we would do without him right now. We love him way too much!!!!

My tupperware party went well....although the invitations did not show up until the day of the party....some even after. I was not happy!!! The lady sent them while on vacation and so it took longer to get to Idaho.

Car troubles again....when we woke up this morning the Durango would not start. For about a week it has been really struggling to start. Nate checked it out and found that it was not the starter. By the time he put that back in....it started working again. He presumes that the connection was bad and him putting it in right fixed it. I am glad it did not cost anything and yet again I am very greatly to have a mechanical genious!!!!

The yard is coming along. We have all the pipe laid and Nate has the two valve boxes set up. He ran the wire and now just has to "hook it up" and the system will work. The final step will be to put the heads on....so Nate will be very busy the rest of the week while I am gone. I think we will make it though.

Lastly....I leave for Convention on Tuesday and will not be back until next Sunday. It is extremly hard work, but I love going. So I will talk to you soon. Have a great week!

I thought I would let the pictures explain it all! It is fun stuff....let me tell you. My job is to make sure that Nate has ice cold water :) We have less than two weeks to get sprinklers in and grass in. Hopefully we make it.

Anniversary Updates
Nate did very good this year again. The flowers are beautiful....and purple! We were really boring that night. We went to Stockmans for a yummy dinner and then we rented a movie from Red Box. Needless to say...I only made it abou 30 minutes into the movie....and it was only like 8pm. I was exhausted. It was another good anniversary though. Time is going by way too fast!

Nate's Other Project
Nate has finally finished the shelves in the garage and I almost have my parking spot back. He has a few more big parts that he hs to figure out where to put them. It looks really nice though and he did great!

Our First House Issue
The other day Nate was installing a new outlet in the garage and found that it was not insulated....as it should have been. We contacted our builder and they sent someone out to fix it. Needless to say we have some cute holes all over the garage. The drywaller now has to come to patch them.

Happy 3 Year Anniversary!!! I cannot believe that it has already been that long. Right now I am waiting for Nate to get home so I can see what HE planned for the evening. I will post a couple pictures soon, but we gave eachother our gift to each other about a week and a half ago. We bought each other a Wii!!! We finally gave in and decided it would be our gift to each other. It has been a lot of fun! He kicks my trash on a lot of the games, but I really kick his trash with fishing.

Another FYI.... I am throwing a Tupperware party next wednesday. Those that live around here will be getting invites soon. If you live far away and want to see a catalog just let me know. I can send ya one.

Have a great rest of the week. We are hoping to get our sprinkler system and grass in within the next two weeks before Nate starts school up again. Wishful thinking, but we are going to really try hard. I should have a pretty good tan...or burn wiht in a couple days.

Updates Finally.....

I cannot believe that it has been another month! Yet again a lot has happened. I will make it short and sweet though :) rrrrriiiiigggghhhhhttttt!!!!!!!!
Our getaway was awesome! We had such a great time in Jackson. The weather was beautiful and it was just fun to be out and to pamper oursleves. Our hotel was exactly how the pictures showed. I could have stayed there for a week or two....and come out broke :( We ended up pampering ourselves and we got a "couples massage" the final day that we were there. It was so relaxing and worth the money. I had never had a massage before then, and I wouldn't mind having more :)
Nate really enjoyed the car show....even though we didn't take any pictures. It wasn't that bad looking at cars. We actually came out of it agreeing on an old car that we would both enjoy. All I remember is that it would be a Ford roadster, but I don't remember what year. There were quite a few of them there and they were way nice. I really woun't mind one. That makes Nate really happy, because there is hope that he can someday have as many cars as his dad :).
Work has been extremly busy! I have been spending a LOT of time in Rexburg becuase we are remodeling the whole call center there. We are having to take down all of the cubicles and then put them right back up after a couple days. They are recarpeting and fixing the roof all in one wack. Just to paint a picutre....there are about 500 desks. Today we took down about 100 desks and set up about 55. We just hit the halfway mark, so it is good to know that there is an end in site. It is extremly hard work and long tiring days.
I had a good birthday on the 28th. My assoicates at work emtied my office and left my phone... and that was all. They moved my desk and belongings out and stored them in an empty office. Each year it really is fun to see what they will do and see if they can top the year before. They definetly did this year!!!! As for family party....it was an interesting day. Nate started the morning out trying to be nice by presenting me with a super nice mountain bike (and him), but I was really concerned with how much he spent. Needless to say he got mad at my response and I got mad back at him.....for the entire day. After talking it out we both decided it was a nice offering, but not the right time, so Nate took the bikes back. We will get them later...possibly next year. Right now we are really focusing on our yard and getting some sod so we don't have to stare at dirt all of the time. :(
Fourth of July was awesome as usual. We went up to Henry's (for the first time this year.... it had snowed too much that we couldn't get into the lot). Lots of family was there and it was just a relaxing weekend. I will warn all of you....and you know who you are... that made the weekend "extra special" that paybacks are coming!!!!! I can't wait to get back up there, but I already feel that summer is half gone and now everything is down hill until Christmas. There are so many holiday's and activities that the time goes by too quick.
Just a couple of small tidbits.... we paid off the Durango!!!! Yeah!!! Our flowers died in front, so we purchased some "real" flowers a couple of weeks ago. They look much prettier and still give the dirt a little more pizzaz.
We caught two frogs while up camping and have adopted them as our own. They are pretty fun. It is fun to watch them attack the crickets we feed them. They seem to like their new home.
Again, sorry for the long post. I really will try to do better :)

I surprised Nate and planned a weekend away in Jackson Hole next weekend. There is a car show there that I thought Nate would enjoy. I am really excited to go and just relax. I will survive the car show....just to go to the hotel! I wish we could visit the spa, but it is a little bit...ok a lot... past our budget. We will post some picuters once we are back.

I can't believe it has already been a couple weeks since our last post. Yet again a lot has happened. I will try to go in order and also try not to bore everyone.

Memorial Day Weekend
For the first time in years....we weren't able to go camping up at the lot, which was sad. Instead we all met at Grandma's grave and left flowers, then we went on to the rest of the family graves. After all was completed we went to Grandpa and Lisa's for a BBQ. Some of us girls snuck away and went shopping. I found 2 pairs of capri's for fairly cheap, so I was excited about that. I have not had any for quite a while. It was really yummy and fun to be with family.

Everyone left pretty early, so Nate and I decided to go check out the new Indiana Jones movie. Major dissapointment!!! It just did not feel like an Indiana Jones movie. Nate liked it although.

Church Calling....changes
We went to church last week and was about to teach our 9 years olds when the Primary President came in. She asked if she could sit in and listen. Sure, why not! After class she said that a new position had come open and they wanted us to help out there instead of primary. So we are now in the Cub Scouting program and are in charge of coordinating and ensuring that everything is ready for the Pack Meetings. It is exciting and seems like it will be fun. It does make me wonder if we weren't teaching well...and they wanted to get us out of there :( We had our first meeting today and church and it seems like it will be fun. We are still working with the same boys we were teaching, so that is nice.

Memorial Day with Nate's Family
On Memorial Day we traveled to Dayton, ID to be with Nate's family. Every year they meet there, visit the graves, and then go to the shelter to have lunch and visit. It was fun seeing some of Nate's cousins that we have seen since our wedding and even some that I have never met. It rained the ENTIRE time and was really cold, but it was a fun little trip.

Hair Cut!!!
I took a couple days off at work so that I could get some things done. Like cutting my hair...back to normal. I really was scared as she was cutting it becuase it was so much! I donated it to Locks of Love. I also went to the eye doctor and got back into contacts too. I feel like a whole new woman. :)

Girls Day!!!
Wednesday I spent the day with Bekah. Her brother had his mission farewell and so they were in town. It was really fun seeing her and playing with Hunter a little. We haven't seen eachother since they moved to Boise a couple months ago. Her little family is so cute! We really miss hanging out with them.

Landscaping...
On Memorial Day we were at the store and saw that the mums had gone down to $1 each. we snagged some and decided to plant them in the yard. I don't think they look too bad... it adds a little color and detracts from our rock farm. :) After planting these, we got a little excited and decided to go and price a couple of bushes. We ended up buying 4 and got those planted. Next, we will start on the lawn. We are still waiting for the guy to come through with the rest of the money for the white ecslipe and then we can really dig in.

Matt and his girlfriend came over the other night. Matt wanted his "hair done". I am also including the picture of the grill. We have used it 3 times now and LOVE IT! It is going to be a fun summer.

k- I realized that we have not updated this in a couple of weeks. It feels like we just did, but in reality it has been quite a while ago and yet again a lot has happened. Mother's Day was really great! I actually came up with the idea to paint mom's upstairs since she has been slowly working on it. All the kids...and Lisa pooled money and we were able to buy enough paint to finsih the living room, dining room and entry way. I took that Friday off and with the help of Lisa, Michelle and Steve; we were able to surprise her by the time she got home. The house looks really really good. A lot better than the ugly PINK!!! Lisa and I went back this past weekend and put on a second coat and put the furniture back. I am glad that we were able to surprise mom and hopefully make her day a little better.
To finish out Mother's Day we had everyone over to our house for dinner. I think it went pretty well and we had a good time. I made sour cream potatoes and candied chicken. Michelle brought yummy salad and home made rolls. And Lisa topped it all off with our favorite ice cream desert. YUMMY!!! We ended the night for a hard core game of wizard.
Other than that not much has happened, but the time sure has gone by fast. Nate finished school...and passed his class! Great job baby! One down...a million more to go. He is now trying to get on with Lowe's for the summer to help fund our summer time fun... sprinkler system, patio and lawn :) We went and priced everything and can't wait to spend all that money :( It makes me sick that that stuff is that much. Next year we will focus on a fence.
I do have to say that we have a killer BBQ!!! Nate was talking with his buddies at Lowe's and found out that there were "last years models" still available at an extreme discount. SSSOOO, Nate convinced me to get a $125 grill that was originally in the $500 or $600 range. We will take some pictures soon. It takes natural gas, so we had the people come to put a spout outside for us. Nate is all ready to grill!
Our Sunday class is going well also. I am really really impressed with how much the kids know. Just like Karen said, I did know half the stuff they know at their age. I guess I didn't pay attention :( We have some wild boys that we have to seperate each week, but other than that it is good.
This past weekend we went to a couple of wedding receptions, which was really fun. I saw a lot of people I haven't seen forever! It was Bryce Wheeler's little sisters reception, so it was really good seeing him. The other one was for Hillary Severe. I have not seen her or her family since high school so that was really cool. I am so excited for her and wish her the best.
I am really really excited for this coming week. I have Monday-Thursday off. I am getting my hari butched, I am getting back into my contacts, and I get to party with Bekah and Hunter!!! I can't wait!

We're Back!!!

I just want to express that yes we are still alive and kicking. So much has happened the past month. I will give a really really quick recap. Work has been crazy. The Durango broke....and is now fixed becuase of my husbands amazing abilities. The computer crashed and we had to purchase a new one. Nate is finishing up this semester of school and has been studying. We sold the white Eclipse and Nate has been fixing it and getting it ready. Family has been in town....and it has been a blast hanging out. hhhhmmmm... what else. Oh yeah. Grey's Anatomy and Lost started up again, so we are "busy" on Thursday nights :).
Well that about sums it up. Time is flying way too fast and it is really scaring me. It already almost the middle of the year. Before we know it it is going to be Christmas!!
We are really excited for the summer and have lots of projects planned. We are putting in a sprinkler system, grass and camping a LOT!!!! I can't wait to get up to the lot so we can just relax.
I have just spent the last 2 hours updating and playing with the blog, so I hope you enjoy. I am going to take a nap....yes a nap at 4:30 in the afternoon. :)

Fun Times!

The rest of the week ended up being pretty good. Saturday went by fast with laundry and cleaning....yes, I did clean! We then went to the movies that night with my team and had a good time. We watched I am Legend....for the second time. It wasn't as scary this time...but Nate jumped a couple of times still. :) We ended the night by going to Wally World and getting a few necessities....ice cream, milk, potatoes, etc.
Sunday was a really good day. My talk went really well and I didn't see too many people falling asleep, so I think that was a good sign. we then were set apart in our new calling and went to class. There are 2 boys that "cling to men" as the primary president informed us. She is correct. I glanced over at Nate during Sharing Time and saw both of the boys leaning on Nate's knees. It was pretty sweet to see. Nate just shook his head when I smiled at him.
Tonight we had Derek, Brooke and Emma come over for dinner. We had lasagne, beans and garlic bread. My homemade Stouffers is pretty dang good! :) Brooke and I played with Emma while the guys watched tv and bonded. We then closed the night with some cheese cake that was also home made from the box.... it was yummy! We topped it with the last can of fruit that we had left from the wedding, so Nate and I were pretty excited. No more fruit topping!!!!
I hope that the coming week is "calm" so that I can catch up on some things. I have a feeling it is not going to be. I have 3 big projects that I am working on that I have commited to having done by Friday......ssssooooo, it should be pretty fun.

What a week...so far!

I woke up Saturday very determined to get through all the "misc" boxes that we had put in the living room and in the kitchen. I got them all unpacked and out, but then I totally felt like I was going to spew. I laid down and within a couple of hours I was bent over the toilet. I threw up all night and so we decided it would be best to skip out on church. It also just happened to be the Sunday that we were meeting with the Bishop...... sssooo, we re-scheduled and met on Tuesday night. I am feeling better, but last night Nate expressed that he was having the same symptoms. Everything is ok right now though....
It was fun meeting with the Bishop and his counselors. They seem really really nice. We were called as teachers in Primary for the 9 year old kids. This shouldn't be too bad. I was hoping for the little kids again like in our previous ward. They are just so cute and as Nate says "great birth control".
We were also asked to speak in church on Sunday, so I am preparing for that. My topic is "Faith in Jesus Christ". I like speaking, but I am of course nervous. I know a LOT of people in the ward that I work.
Other than that it has been a really really busy week. My boss quite about a month ago, so I have been picking up some of the work load and just trying to catch up on things. I also has one assoicate quite...cause she was moving...and I transfered another assoicate up to Rexburg. I also completed 3 reviews, attended a billion meetings....and still had a smile on my face! :)
I just hope it calms down a little and I hope we find out soon what is happening with the "open" position and the big office :) I love what I do and whatever happens, I am totally fine with it.
Saturday my team is meeting at the Paramount to go see a movie together. I have no idea what is playing yet, but one of my associates is helping me out with this and we will figure it out tomorrow.
This weekend I told Nate that we have to take pictures of the house and post them, so check back in. Sorry this one was so long....

It's true! We have succumbed to the pressure and have created our own blog spot. I have had such a fun time looking at everyone else's and I decided it was time. Our lives are boring, but oh well....hopefully someone will check it out once in a while.
Karen I am absolutely going to need your help making it "cool". I have no idea where you get all your stuff, but I am jeleous. Give me some time....

Well, I will give you a quick run down of the past...uuhhmm... 2 1/2 years. Nate and I love being married. I have worked my butt off working. For those of you who don't know, I have officially quite working at Blast Off! and I am LOVING it! I fell like I have some sort of a life now. :) Nate is still busy with his school work and working full time. We bought a new house in January and are officially out of the "dungeon" as Nate liked to refer to it as and are thoroughly loving our home. It is still crazy thinging it is ours, but we have worked really hard to get it and will continue to work really hard to keep it. We just made our first payment on the 1st and it really really hurt hitting the button to confirm the payment. Hopefully it will get easier. We will post pictures soon so those of you far away can see it.
